What is a prepaid card?

Is there a connection charge?

Calls do not have a connection or flagfall fee.

What are the billing increments?

Our low rates are divided into 1 minute increments. This means that you are billed for every minute, so you only pay for the amount of time that you talk.

What is the minimum call charge?

The minimum call charge is one minute. This only applies if your call is shorter than 60 seconds.

How do I order my HelloHowzit service?

 First fill in the online form. You will then be directed to a secure credit card entry page where you can securely enter your credit card details.. Allow 48 hours for processing, and you will receive your PIN with your activation email.

How do I use my HelloHowzit card?:

How does one recharge or add time to a card?: You can recharge your card by activating the auto-recharge feature, or by logging into the “My Account” section of the website.

How do I see my card balance?

After you enter your PIN, you will be informed of the balance remaining on your card. You may also see your balance by logging into the “My Account” section of the website.

What if I buy a card and it doesn't work?

 Please contact our Customer Service via email and they will answer your questions promptly.

What if I lose or forget my PIN?

 Your PIN should be treated like cash, so make sure to keep it in a safe place. It is an active number and is considered as good as cash. As a protection against fraud, we can only resend you your PIN once we have verified your password. Should you wish to have a new PIN number issued to replace your lost PIN, this can be done, although a service fee will be charged. In this case, the remaining balance on the old PIN will be transferred to the new PIN less the service fee of $5.00

Are there any hidden costs or additional charges?

There are no hidden charges.

What is VoIP?

VoIP is a technology that uses the internet to carry your phone conversation over your internet connection. It is ideal for anyone who has a fibre or LTE internet connection, and is cost effective and easy to use.

How does it work?

When you have registered and selected your package, we will allocate you your own unique VoIP phone number. It is just like a regular phone number.

How Many Devices can I use my SIP account on?

 You can register multiple devices on your SIP account. We allow one outbound call at a time.

Do I Need a VoIP phone?

We recommend that you use a VoIP phone, as this will give the best voice quality. You can also use an app on your mobile phone such as Zoiper.

How long does it take to port a Telkom number?

It can take up to 3 weeks.

What are the payment options?

You can pay for your service via credit card, or by EFT.

Will my SIP account work on ADSL?

 Although we do have customers using ADSL, it is not recommended as the ADSL connection is often congested which leads to low voice quality.

Can I keep my Land line Number?

Yes. One needs to port your existing number to us, and that will enable your old number that everyone knows to still work.

How long does the RICA process take?

 It can take up to three business days. We will let you know as soon as your RICA application is approved, and then you can proceed with purchasing your VoIP bundle.

What documentation is required for RICA?

You’ll need to upload a copy of your ID or Passport and Proof of Residence. Proof of residence can be a utility or retail bill less than 3 months old. For example, you can use your bank statement, DSTV, phone/cell account etc.

What do I need to do to port my Telkom number?

We require a copy of your Telkom telephone bill, and a letter of authorisation. (which we can give you an example). If your ADSL service is not provided by Telkom, you need to cancel the ADSL service first.

Can I call during load shedding?

 Our service is hosted in the cloud, which does not get affected by load shedding. Your IP phone and your internet router will be affected by load shedding, unless you have a UPS.
